Caps Lock Theatre will present The Foreplay Play by award-winning playwright Mariah MacCarthy from April 19 to May 6, 2012. It will run Thursday - Sunday at 8:00. This dark comedy is set in an apartment in Brooklyn, which is also the venue for this production directed by Leta Tremblay. In The Foreplay Play, a lesbian couple and a straight couple attempt a foursome with disastrous results.

Annie, Leila, and Kevin, age 15, have been counting the days until they arrive at their summer destination, a highly selective academic program for gifted teens. Dodging flying peppermints, deformed Noxema jars, kidnappers, claw-knives, aggressive squirrels, the ever-present threat of swine flu, not to mention their counselor, Rose, the campers doggedly pursue their respective Camp Goals - until the unexpected happens, at the Saturday night costume dance.

Stabilized Not Controlled will play its last preview March 25, Sunday, 5:00 pm, at Stage Left Studio, 214 W. 30th Street. Studio owner and producer of the show, Cheryl King has now booked the show to begin weekly performances starting April 29, following the Fifth Annual Left Out Festival. Two-for-one tickets are being offered for the final preview, and other discount tickets are available courtesy of TDF.

Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, (443) 874-4917, www.strand-theater.org. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. plays to be read are The Milwood Elementary School PTA by Sharon Goldner, directed by Steve Goldklang, followed at 1:00 p.m. by Shana Unsettled by Ronda Cooperstein, directed by Terry Moritz, and at 3:00 p.m. by Following Sarah by Rich Espey, directed by Josh Shoemaker. After each reading there will be a discussion of the script with the playwright, director and actors. The event is free, and the general public is encouraged to attend.

COFFEE HOUSE, GREENWICH VILLAGE - a new play by John Doble - will be featured in Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Winter One Act Play Competition with performances starting January 18, 2012 at Manhattan Repertory Theatre (303 West 42nd Street -6th Floor) in Manhattan.

FEARLESS MORAL INVENTORY: 12-step Walk Up, starring Drama Desk Award-nominee and celebrated monologist Frank Blocker, has received a second extension thanks to audience response and positive reviews from theatre professionals.

This fall, Manhattan Repertory Theatre will be presenting 16 new plays featuring some of this country's finest playwrights, actors and directors in a theatrical celebration of new work - MRT'S Fallfest 2010.
