Museum of Jewish Heritage Features CIRCUMCISE ME, 12/8

On Wednesday, December 8 at 7 p.m., actor and playwright Yisrael Campbell will perform his hilarious one-man show Circumcise Me, directed by Sam Gold, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. A Q&A session with Mr. Campbell will follow the performance. Lauded by The New York Times, The New Yorker, and others, Circumcise Me is the story of an Orthodox-convert who began life as Roman Catholic Christopher Campbell. His journey from misspent, alcoholic youth to his conversion to Judaism - not once but three times - is poignant, provocative, and powerfully witty.

Richard Dreyfuss Leads Culture Project's IMAGINING HESCHEL, 11/4 - 11/28

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) will present the world premiere of Imagining Heschel, a new play by Colin Greer, directed by Larry Moss, who was last represented Off-Broadway by his acclaimed production of Syringa Tree. The two-character play will feature actors Richard Dreyfuss and Rinde Eckert. Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, NYC) on Thursday, November 4th, 2010, and continue through Sunday, November 28th, 2010, for 20 performances only. An official opening night is set for Monday, November 8, 2010.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) will present the world premiere of Imagining Heschel, a new play by Colin Greer, directed by Larry Moss, who was last represented Off-Broadway by his acclaimed production of Syringa Tree. The two-character play will feature actors Richard Dreyfuss and Rinde Eckert. Preview performances are Thursday, October 21; Friday, October 22; and Saturday, October 23 (matinee). The production officially opens Saturday evening, October 23, at 8:00pm, followed by a post-show party with the cast and crew.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that talks are under way for Philip Seymour Hoffman to star in a Broadway revival of DEATH OF A SALESMAN, to be directed by Mike Nichols. He also reports that Linda Emond is said to be the top choice to play Loman's wife, Linda in the production which is aiming for 2011.
