Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the TRU Writer-Director Communications Lab on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 1pm to 7pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street, Studio 3C. If accepted into the lab, the cost is $75 ($60 for TRU members). Writer applications are available at www.truonline.org/DirectorLabFeb11.htm. The lab will be taught by producers Pam Koslow (Jelly's Last Jam, Jane Eyre, Yank!) and director Robert Kalfin, former artistic director of Chelsea Theatre (Yentl, Strider, Candide).
The Trustees of The Laurents/Hatcher Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce that THE SUBMISSION by JEFF TALBOTT has been selected for the 2011 LAURENTS / HATCHER FOUNDATION AWARD.
According to the NY Times, Broadway's Arthur Laurents and partner, Tom Hatcher have awarded playwright Jeff Talbott their first Laurents-Hatcher Award. Talbott, an actor who's play THE SUBMISSION will make its off- Broadway debut at MCC Theatre this year, will receive a $150,000 prize.

On Wednesday, December 8 at 7 p.m., actor and playwright Yisrael Campbell will perform his hilarious one-man show Circumcise Me, directed by Sam Gold, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. A Q&A session with Mr. Campbell will follow the performance.
