Los Altos Stage Company Health-Hopefully Announces 2020-2021 Season

Los Altos Stage Company's 2019-2020 season opened with a bang in September 2019, with the critically-acclaimed West Coast Premiere of Admissions (the highest attended straight play in the 25-year history of the Company!), followed by the holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play and the again-critically-acclaimed South Bay Premiere of OSLO, the third highest attended straight play in the history of the Company. Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, and Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content, have commissioned writing duo Harry and Jack Williams' brand new drama The Tourist for BBC One.

BBC One Announces Second Series of BAPTISTE

Produced by award-winning production company Two Brothers Pictures (The Missing, Fleabag, Liar, Cheat) and written by Harry and Jack Williams, filming will begin on a second series of the thrilling drama Baptiste for BBC One, in association with all3media international which is handling international sales.

Stars of stage and screen, playwrights, composers, and supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley came together Saturday, November 2, 2019 to celebrate the acclaimed regional theatre at And the Tony Award Goes To…Celebrating TheatreWorks at 50, a once-in-a-lifetime event honoring the company's half-century and its 2019 Regional Theatre Tony® Award. Some 480 guests attended this extraordinary event which raised nearly $800,000 for TheatreWorks marking it the most attended and most successful fundraiser in the company's history. Guests appropriately gathered in the heart of Silicon Valley at Mountain View's Computer History Museum for cocktails, dinner, and a lively auction, then proceeded to the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, where a stellar array of TheatreWorks alumni returned to pay tribute to its history through words and music.

WCT Names New Managing Artistic Director

The Waukesha Civic Theatre is in its 62nd season, located in historic Downtown Waukesha. We are a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide quality live theatre performances and educational opportunities that will enrich, challenge and entertain both participants and audience members. There have been six managing directors over the past 62 years. We are excited to announce our seventh: Rhonda Marie Schmidt. As of February 11th, Rhonda will take over from John Cramer, who has moved on to become the Director of the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

McCarter Theatre Center Names New Managing Director

McCarter Theatre Center's Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of Michael S. Rosenberg as Managing Director. A nationally respected arts leader, Rosenberg will work together with McCarter's Artistic Director/Resident Playwright Emily Mann and Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood in leading Princeton's Tony Award winning arts institution. Rosenberg, currently the Managing Director at La Jolla Playhouse in California, will assume his new role of Managing Director at McCarter Theatre Center this spring.
