GILMORE GIRLS Star Alexis Bledel Joins Next Week's SIN CYCLE PLAYS Reading

Animus Theatre Company is pleased to announce that acclaimed film, television and stage star Alexis Bledel has joined the lineup for Leslye Headland's Sin Cycle Plays (Assistance; Bachelorette; Cinephilia; Reverb; Surfer Girl; and The Accidental Blonde), their 2014 Reading Festival series in association with Circle in the Square Professional Workshop, on Monday, November 17, at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre. Bledel will read the role of Veronica in The Accidental Blonde.

Six Scripts Selected for NNPN's 2014 National Showcase of New Plays in Sarasota Next Month

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, will produce six new plays in staged reading format at its National Showcase of New Plays, hosted November 21-23 in Sarasota, FL by Florida Studio Theatre. A committee of artistic, managing and literary leaders from across the country selected plays by Kevin Artigue, Hilary Bettis, Kristiana Colon, Mfoniso Udofia, and Steve Yockey for the twelfth installment of the Showcase.

Neiman Marcus Acquires Luxury Business Mytheresa.com

Neiman Marcus Group LTD LLC announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire the mytheresa.com global online luxury business from Christoph and Susanne Botschen and Acton Capital Partners. In addition, NMG will also be acquiring the THERESA flagship luxury fashion store in Munich from the Botschen family. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

Meghan Pressman Named New Managing Director of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has announced the appointment of Meghan Pressman as Managing Director. Previously, Pressman served as the Director of Development for New York City's Signature Theatre, a $12 million nonprofit Off-Broadway theatre organization, which exists to honor and celebrate the playwright. Pressman will begin her tenure at Woolly Mammoth at the beginning of Season 35 on Monday, September 15, 2014.

Animus Theatre Company's 2014 Season to Feature Matthew Lillard, Plays by Bob Glaudini, Tennessee Williams & More

Animus Theatre Company has announced its 2014 Season, which will feature Matthew Lillard, Leslye Headland, and Alan Langdon, with plays by Bob Glaudini, Tennessee Williams, and Headland. The MainStage Production will be Dutch Heart of Man by Glaudini, directed by Alan Langdon, running April 24th thru May 11th. The Workshop Production will feature four short plays by Tennessee Williams: Moony's Kid Don't Cry; The Long Goodbye; Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen; and The Pink Bedroom. The one-act plays, all presented nightly, will be directed by Matthew Lillard and run August 1st thru 10th. Both productions will be presented at the Cherry Lane Theatre in downtown NYC, the 2014 home of Animus Theatre Company. The season will be rounded out in the fall/winter with a multi-media festival headlined by Leslye Headland's Seven Deadly Sin Cycle Plays (Cinephillia, Bachelorette, Assistance, Surfer Girl, Reverb, and The Accidental Blonde) presented as a collection of readings for the first time in New York City. Cast and creatives for all of the above will be announced at a later date.

Mia Dillon, Brian Murray and Gordana Rashovich to Lead Hartford Stage's A SONG AT TWILIGHT

Esteemed Broadway veterans Mia Dillon, Brian Murray and Gordana Rashovich will headline Hartford Stage's revival of Noel Coward's A Song at Twilight, directed by former Artistic Director, Mark Lamos, who returns to celebrate the company's 50th Anniversary Season. The co-production with Westport Country Playhouse will run from February 20 to March 16.

What aren't we doing? How can we work together to increase diversity in Southern California theatre? DIVERSITY: THROUGH THE DIRECTOR'S EYE is set for Today, December 16, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Pasadena Playhouse, 39 El Molino Ave, Pasadena, CA.

National New Play Network Announces Lineup for 11th Annual National Showcase of New Plays

A committee of artistic, managing and literary leaders from across the country selected plays by Nathan Alan Davis, Diana Grisanti, Reina Hardy, James Ijames, Stephen Spotswood, and David Wells for the eleventh installment of the Showcase.

Uschi Neuss Becomes Managing Director of Stage Entertainment Germany

The Board of Directors of Stage Entertainment has informed today management and staff of Stage Entertainment Germany about the decision that Johannes Mock-O'Hara steps down as managing director of Stage Entertainment Germany with immediate effect, leaving the company per December 31, 2013. As of today Uschi Neuss, our present Director Theatre Operations, will assume the role of managing director.
