The brilliant theatricality of Kneehigh, the innovative United Kingdom-based theater company, will be on display at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts once again when 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips has its Los Angeles premiere.  Based on the beloved book by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo, 946 explores everything we thought we knew about the D-Day landings in this tender musical tale of love and war. Adapted by Morpurgo and Emma Rice, who also directs, 946 is a Kneehigh production presented in association with Birmingham Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatres. Performances begin February 9 with the opening on February 10.

For thirty years now, Kneehigh have been creating original, innovative pieces of theatre. Over this time, they have grown to an international scale and have built a solid reputation for quality which any theatre company would be envious of. Earlier this year saw Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca being given the Kneehigh treatment and to massive acclaim. This autumn, Cornwall-based international touring company Kneehigh, with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, begin a new tour of Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs), their critically acclaimed radical reworking of John Gay's The Beggar's Opera, written by Carl Grose, with a brand new score of live musicby Charles Hazlewood, and directed by Artistic Director Mike Shepherd.

John Boyne's highly acclaimed and best-selling international novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas will visit Coventry's Belgrade Theatre from Tues 16 - Sat 20 June as part of a major new U.K tour. The book, which is a KS3 level school text for 11 - 14 year olds, has been adapted for stage by Angus Jackson.

James Lance, Ruth Gibson and Charles Reston will star in the London revival of Nick Darke's black comedy The Dead Monkey at PARK 90 from 9 June - 4 July, directed by Hannah Price. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Nick Darke's death, Mongrel Thumb, in association with Falmouth University, are honoured to present The Dead Monkey to London audiences.

The full cast has been announced for the world stage premiere of John Boyne's highly acclaimed and best-selling international novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas which opens at Chichester Festival Theatre on 19 February, from where it will tour England until 27 June. The book, which is a KS3 level school text for 11 - 14 year olds, has been adapted for the stage by Angus Jackson. The press night is Thursday 26 February at 7 pm.
