Photo Flash: First Look at Noel Coward's BRIEF ENCOUNTER at Birmingham Repertory Theatre

Kneehigh's production of Noel Coward's BRIEF ENCOUNTER, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, will be produced live on stage at the Empire Cinema Haymarket in London's West End by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, Jenny & Steve Wiener and The Old Vic. Following previews from 2 March 2018, the production will open on 11 March and play a limited season until 2 September 2018. Tickets are on sale from today.

BWW Review: THE FLYING LOVERS OF VITEBSK, Wilton's Music Hall

After a short stay at the Bristol Old Vic, and an award-winning run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Daniel Jamieson's play about the life and love of Marc and Bella Chagall begins a UK/US tour at Wilton's Music Hall in east London. Directed by Emma Rice, it follows in the wake of Romantics Anonymous and precedes the return of Brief Encounter and the debut of her brand new theatre company Wise Children.

One of the most acclaimed theatrical productions seen all over the world returns to Birmingham in February. Kneehigh's production of No l Coward's Brief Encounter, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, will be produced live on stage at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 2 17 February 2018.

One of the defining novels of the 20th Century, Gunter Grass's dazzling tour de force, The Tin Drum, is being brought to thrilling theatrical life by Kneehigh in a touring co-production with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse and West Yorkshire Playhouse. It will open to press at Liverpool Everyman this week, then transfer to West Yorkshire Playhouse before travelling to Bristol, Cornwall and finishing in London's Shoreditch Town Hall. BWW Review: ALCINA at Santa Fe Opera

George Frideric Handel composed the opera seria, ALCINA, for a 1735 premiere at London's Covent Garden. Handel's anonymous librettist based his text on Riccardo Broschi's 1728 book for L'ISOLA DI ALCINA. Three years following its 1735 run, ALCINA was revived but after that it fell dormant until the twentieth century. On July 29, 2017, Santa Fe Opera premiered a co-production of ALCINA with the National Opera of Bordeaux and the Teatro Real of Madrid.

Denise Gough will reprise her Olivier Award-winning role as an actress whose life has spun recklessly out of control because of her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Presents the Los Angeles Premiere of 946: THE AMAZING STORY OF ADOLPHUS TIPS

The brilliant theatricality of Kneehigh, the innovative United Kingdom-based theater company, will be on display at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts once again when 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips has its Los Angeles premiere.  Based on the beloved book by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo, 946 explores everything we thought we knew about the D-Day landings in this tender musical tale of love and war. Adapted by Morpurgo and Emma Rice, who also directs, 946 is a Kneehigh production presented in association with Birmingham Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatres. Performances begin February 9 with the opening on February 10.

Little Angel Theatre to Stage A VERY OLD MAN WITH ENORMOUS WINGS This Winter

When a strange looking old man falls from the sky and into a quaint fishing village the surprised locals don't know quite what to make of him at all. Add to their surprise a sickly boy being miraculously restored to health and an irresolvable infestation of crabs being suddenly resolved, and we have the beginnings of a very marvellous story.
