Weekend movie box office Update: June 25 - June 27, 2010.

Yesterday, June 9, the Whitney Museum of American Art hosted their 2010 'Art Party at 82 Mercer in New York City. Artists including Ellen Harvey, Ryan Humphrey, Liz Magic Laser, and Jason Middlebrook put pieces of art up for auction. The event was hosted by Lubov and Max Azria. Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden star in GOD OF CARNAGE, the new play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by Matthew Warchus, opened on Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45 Street), Sunday March 22. Previews began on February 28. BroadwayWorld.com's cameras were there as the starry crowd came out to see the opening night performance.

The Toronto International Film Festival was held in Toronto, Canada the week of September 6 through 15. Several American screen and stage stars made appearances. The premiere of The Jane Austen Book Club was held at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto on September 9. The film opened in LA and NYC on September 21.
