William Inge's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Picnic returns to Broadway in a striking new production helmed by acclaimed director Sam Gold (Roundabout's Look Back in Anger, Seminar). Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn stars alongside theatre veterans Reed Birney (The Dream of the Burning Boy) and Elizabeth Marvel (Other Desert Cities), rising stars Maggie Grace ('Lost') and Sebastian Stan ('Gossip Girl'), Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham (recently seen in Tribes), Madeleine Martin (August: Osage County) and Ben Rappaport (Hope Springs). Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of PICNIC, in association with Darren Bagert and Martin Massman, begins previews tonight, Friday, December 14 at 8:00PM.

Roundabout Theatre Company will present of Picnic, starring Reed Birney as "Howard Bevans", Maggie Grace as "Madge Owens", Elizabeth Marvel as "Rosemary Sydney", Sebastian Stan as "Hal Carter", Mare Winningham as "Flo Owens" and Ellen Burstyn as "Helen Potts". This production will be directed by Sam Gold. The cast will also feature Madeleine Martin (Millie Owens), Ben Rappaport (Alan Seymour), Cassie Beck (Christine Schoenwalde), Maddie Corman (Irma Kronkite), Chris Perfetti (Bomber). Picnic will begin previews on December 14, 2012 and open officially on January 13, 2013 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42 nd Street). Celebrating 10 years, Resonance Ensemble (Eric Parness, Artistic Director; Rachel Reiner, Managing Director) will revel in classic fashion tonight, June 1, 2012 at the Judson Memorial Meeting Room (55 Washington Square South). This year's program is entitled 10 YEARS/10 DREAMS, featuring 10 ten-minute plays inspired by William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Gala will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6PM, followed by performances at 7PM. Tickets range from $50-150, are tax-deductible and can be purchased by visiting http://www.resonanceensemble.org/events.

The long-running Off Broadway favorite Love, Loss, and What I Wore will close tonight, Sunday, March 25, 2012 after playing for two and a half years and 1,013 performances. (March 15th marked the show's landmark 1,000 performance.)
