Three Cat Productions Brings Children's Theatre Camps to Skokie Theatre

Three Cat Productions is excited to announce Three Cat Education and 'A Summer in the Theater' programs that will be offered at Skokie Theatre Music Foundation beginning in June 2010. Lead by Jacque Lueken, Three Cat Education Executive Director, 'A Summer in the Theater' offers children and teens an opportunity to experience the world of theater and cabaret in a safe nurturing environment. Exploring musicals, plays, cabaret, and show choir, our camps teach kids the fundamentals of performance with potential opportunities to appear in one of Three Cat Productions 'Cabaret Concerts' as well as in venues throughout the Chicagoland area.

Engeman Theater Offers Summer Camp, Begins 6/28

John W Engeman Theater at Northport is offering two theater camps this summer beginning June 28. Musical Theater Summer Camp for Ages 7-15 will offer three three week sessions: June 28-July 17, July 19-August 6 and August 9-29. Tuition is $850 for the full week and runs 9 am to 3 pm. $550 for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For 4-6 year olds Broadway for the Little Tyke will be available July 13 through August 14. Direct Arts, a new intercultural theater and film company, is proud to present on Tuesday, June 8th the short film 'French for Foreigners,' written and directed by Kartik Singh, followed by a staged reading of Peter Shaffer's rarely performed play THE ROYAL HUNT OF THE SUN, with live music and an ensemble cast led by John Campion and Graeme Malcolm.
