They share a crime that will slowly be revealed through flashbacks of their friendship as co-workers at a working class mill in Philadelphia. The slow destruction of that factory through layoffs, long picket lines and economic collapse tests their relationships, morals and resilience in Lynn Nottage's 2017 Pulitzer Prize winning drama.

All of these theaters had programming that was - you know, sort of your tent poles on the mainstage, your occasional blockbuster musical. On the second stage, there was riskier work, new work being developed that might not appeal to a 700-seat audience. I thought that was incredible - you're doing these blockbuster Broadway musicals, the best of the best plays, and then new work that is exciting and thrilling. And that sort of became part of my DNA as I was thinking about directing.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will end its 19th season with Pulitzer Prize-winning and Tony Award-nominated Sweat by Lynn Nottage. Sweat will open Thursday April 20 starring Lisa Vitrano*, Peter Johnson*, and David Mitchell* alongside Jake Hayes, Diane DiBernardo, Davida Tolbert, Johnny Barden, Alejandro Gabriel Gómez, and John Vines under the direction of Victoria Pérez*.

This scenario from acclaimed playwright Lynn Nottage is Clydes, currently in production at Houston's The Ensemble Theatre.
Center Repertory Company will pause performances of Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning SWEAT due to illness in the company. All performances between Saturday, March 25 and Thursday, March 30 have been cancelled. Performances resume on Friday, March 31 and continue through Sunday, April 16.
