A DOLL'S HOUSE , PART 2 Playwright Lucas Hnath Among The Lark's 2017-18 Fellows

The Lark, a theater company devoted to the support of visionary playwrights and the development of new plays, has announced five New York City-based playwrights have been named as the 2017-18 Rita Goldberg Playwrights' Workshop Fellows. The group spans a wide range of backgrounds and professional experiences and will meet regularly throughout the year to develop new plays.

Pivot Arts presents DON'T LOOK BACK/MUST LOOK BACK

Pivot Arts is pleased to present the world premiere of DON'T LOOK BACK/MUST LOOK BACK, a site-specific performance experience in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, conceived by Julieanne Ehre, written by Tanya Palmer, directed by Devon de Mayo and devised by an ensemble of actors and designers. Audience members are taken on an immersive journey inspired by the stories and experiences of Uptown residents, many of whom came to Uptown as refugees.

PRINCE OF BROADWAY Announces Extension Through 10/29

The Broadway premiere of Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration that highlights the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Harold Prince, will now play through Sunday, October 29 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre due to popular demand. This limited engagement, which began previews August 3 and opened August 24, is produced by Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer), by special arrangement with Gorgeous Entertainment.

IN A WORD Playwright Lauren Yee Wins the Kesselring Prize

Lauren Yee is this year's recipient of the National Arts Club's 2017 Kesselring Prize. The award, bestowed upon emerging playwrights since 1980, carries with it $25,000 and a two-week residency at the NationalArtsClub in order to develop new work.

THE PORTUGUESE KID, Starring Jason Alexander, Starts Tomorrow at MTC

A friendy reminder that performances begin tomorrow Tuesday, September 19 for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of The Portuguese Kid, a new play written and directed by Tony, Pulitzer Prize, and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley.

Andrew Rannells, Corey Stoll Join Amazon Original Series THE ROMANOFFS

Amazon Original Series THE ROMANOFFS, created, written, directed and executive produced by nine-time Emmy award winner Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), and co-produced with Weinstein Television, has set additional guest actors slated to join the series, including Corey Stoll, Andrew Rannells and Mike Doyle.

SCTC Adds David Lindsay-Abaire's RIPCORD to Season 13

The South Camden Theatre Company Board of Directors made some changes to the times we produce our seasons. Season 13, Celebrating Women Playwrights now opens in February, 2018 instead of September 2017.

SAINT JOAN, Starring Condola Rashad, Will Bring Religious Icon to Broadway This Spring

Manhattan Theatre Club will produce a new Broadway production of Saint Joan, written by Nobel Prize in Literature and Academy Award winner Bernard Shaw and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, Proof), starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2, 'Billions').

Veteran Publicist Aaron Meier Joins O&M Team

DKC/O&M President Rick Miramontez officially announced today that Aaron Meier has joined the staff of the New York PR firm. Aaron, a 16-year veteran of theatrical publicity, takes his senior position immediately. He will be representing such current and upcoming productions as Hello, Dolly!, 1984, Carousel, Three Tall Women and The Iceman Cometh, among others.
