Charles Busch Stars in I LOVED LUCY, A Gala Benefit For Bridge Street Theatre

Audiences are in for a rare treat when theatrical legend Charles Busch and playwright/performer Lee Tannen team up for a special two-performance concert staging of Tannen's I LOVED LUCY on Friday March 22 and Saturday March 23 as a benefit for Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre. This delightful stage adaptation of Tannen's own 2001 memoir, directed by Carl Andress, stars the fabulous Charles Busch as Lucille Ball, Lee Tannen as … Lee Tannen, and also features the multitudinous talents of actor/pianist Tom Judson.

The Society Of Illustrators To Host A Staged Reading Of Laura Rohrman's REPORTER GIRL

As part of the closing week of the Brenda Starr, Reporter: The Art of Dale Messick exhibit at the Society of Illustrators (128 East 63rd Street New York, NY 10065), The Waverly Writers Collective will present a staged reading of Reporter Girl, a full-length play written by Laura Rohrman (My Life As You at Studio 54/Shetler), Dale Messick's Granddaughter and co-curator of the exhibit.

Charlotte Braenna played Lucille Frank in the Scandinavian Premiere production of Jason Robert Brown's PARADE, just out of school. She has since starred in many musicals such as Kathy Selden in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, Mother in BILLY ELLIOT and MARY POPPINS at Folketeatret. Recently she played Sandy in GREASE at Chateau Neuf. Currently she is playing Meg Giry in the premiere production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

Best Of Broadway Featured In THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND At TheatreZone

Fans of the musicals Cabaret, Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman will enjoy the musical The World Goes 'Round at TheatreZone in Naples on April 25 through May 5. The show is a stunning review from the songbook of the multiple Tony Award-winning team of composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb, who wrote these musicals and many others. The duo also scored several movies, including New York, New York, and wrote songs for Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera. And the World Goes 'Round won Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical Revue.

Dorset Theatre Festival announces its 42nd Season, featuring the classic revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives directed by Evan Yionoulis (June 20 - July 6), the World Premiere of Dig, written and directed by Theresa Rebeck (July 11 - 27), the World Premiere of Mrs. Christie by Heidi Armbruster, directed by Giovanna Sardelli  (August 1 - 17), Slow Food by Wendy MacLeod, directed by Jackson Gay (August 22 - 31), and Pipeline Series: Three New Works in Process (July 2, July 23, and August 13). All performances will take place at the Dorset Playhouse (104 Cheney Rd, Dorset, VT 05251)

Growing competition on the 1940s Gospel Circuit finds Rosetta auditioning a new partner with a voice made from heaven. Will they break, blend, or find harmony at last? Directed by Robert Kelley,

Max Vernon Returns To Joe's Pub With Lauren Worsham, Margo Seibert, And Larry Owens

MAX VERNON - the songwriter described by The New Yorker as "equal parts Bohemia and Broadway" - will continue his first residency at Joe's Pub, Existential Life Crisis Lullaby, on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 PM. Following three sold out shows last year, he returns with special guests Lauren Worsham, Margo Seibert, Larry Owens, Maria-Christina Oliveras, and Darius Harper. The spring shows, directed by Ellie Heyman, will continue on Tuesday, April 23. Vernon received the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical, three Drama Desk Award nominations, a Jonathan Larson Grant and the Richard Rodgers Award for his musicals The View UpStairs and KPOP, both of which had critically-acclaimed extended Off-Broadway runs last year. KPOP is planning a major new production later this year. Following a sold-out debut at the Kennedy Center in 2017, Vernon has returned to the New York nightclub stage for an exclusive engagement of high spectacle, high fashion, and high belted F sharps.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that casting of the New York premiere of Mara Nelson-Greenberg's DO YOU FEEL ANGER?, directed by Margot Bordelon, is now complete with Jeanne Sakata (HOLD THESE TRUTHS).
