The Public Theater's HERE LIES LOVE Headed to the West End This Fall

The Daily Mail writes that David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's HERE LIES LOVE will open at the National's revamped Dorfman Theatre this October, directed by Alex Timbers. The show is just about to begin a second run at The Public Theater on May 1 in New York City and will transfer to the West End in the fall.

Theatre Exile closes its 17th season with the Philadelphia premiere of Annapurna, a moving and explosive new play by critically acclaimed, emerging Broadway playwright Sharr White. Driven by the emotionally charged relationship between a husband and wife, Exile's production stars Barrymore Award-winning actors Pearce Bunting (Exile's A Behanding in Spokane, HBO's Boardwalk Empire) and Catharine Slusar (Iron, Any Given Monday) as Ulysses and Emma. Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present free staged readings of "Cookin! - A Taste of Things to Come," a new musical by Debra Barsha and Hollye Levin, with musical direction by Gillian Berkowitz. Directed by Tony Award nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett (Swing!), the readings will be held on Monday, May 12th at 1pm & 4pm and Tuesday, May 13th at 4pm at St. Luke's Theatre.

Creative teams have been announced for the 2014 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Gala 'One Acts for a Cause' set to take place on Sunday, June 22 at 7:30pm at the East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street). The evening, which will benefit the non-profit NYC food services agency City Harvest, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by four acclaimed playwrights: Obie Award-winner Israel Horovitz's St Anne's Soup which will be directed by Planet Connections Festivity founder and Co-Artistic Director Glory Kadigan (Neil LaBute world premieres Over the River at The Signature, Two Minute Warning), Wendy MacLeod's Community Service which will be directed by Lucille Lortel nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God), Snap! by Winter Miller which will be directed by Jessi D. Hill (Associate Artistic Director at terraNOVA Collective) & Eric Ehn and the Tenderloin Opera Company's Frail/Ingilin which will be directed by Mia Rovegno (Good Goods, Exquisite Corpse). Casting will be announced in May.

Mint Theater's new production, London Wall by John Van Druten, featuring Julia Coffey, Katie Gibson, Matthew Gumley, Jonathan Hogan, Laurie Kennedy, Elise Kibler, Stephen Plunkett, Christopher Sears, and Alex Trow will now continue through April 26th at Mint's home (311 West 43rd Street). This is the American premiere of John Van Druten's "rivetingly entertaining" (The Guardian) romantic drama, which opened Monday February 24th. Davis McCallum, who staged the 2012 Pulitzer-Prize winning play Water by the Spoonful at Second Stage, as well as the award-winning production of The Whale at Playwrights Horizons, directs.

The Public Theater's production of David Byrne, Fatboy Slim and Alex Timbers' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, has announced a rush ticket policy. A limited number of $40 day-of-performance rush tickets will be available at The Public's Taub Box Office (425 Lafayette Street, NYC) starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14 for that evening's performance, and on all subsequent Tuesdays and Wednesdays for evening performances through May 14.
