A lineup of top entertainers including, Julie Andrews, Lucie Arnaz, Tony Bennett, Tim Conway, Tina Fey, Rashida Jones, Vicki Lawrence, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Rosemary Watson and others will salute Carol Burnett at the 16th Annual Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will pay tribute the humor and accomplishments of Carol Burnett, and will be taped by WETA Washington, D.C. as Carol Burnett: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize. The program will air on PBS stations nationwide November 24, 2013 (check local listings). Artists are subject to change.

Kelly Carlin, daughter of comedy legend George Carlin will perform her acclaimed one-woman show, A Carlin Home Companion: Growing up with George, at New York's All For One Theater Festival (AFO) this fall at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on October 11, 13, 17 and 19. It is directed by Paul Provenza, who also helmed the celebrated documentary, 'The Aristocrats.'

Located on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina produces a full season of musicals and plays aimed at a dedicated audience of Lowcountry residents. The productions, which include crowd-pleasing favorites suggested by theatre-goers, feature fully professional casts drawn primarily from New York, along with a sprinkling of local performers. On a stormy Sunday afternoon, I joined several hundred patrons in attendance at the Center's production of CHICAGO, directed and choreographed by Russell Garrett, to enjoy a high quality rendering of the 1920s-era musical.
