Over the last 40 years, PHILADANCO (the Philadelphia Dance Company) has grown from a small community arts organization into a world-renowned troupe that mixes African-American cultural traditions with ballet, modern, jazz and other dance forms.

Carmen De Lavallade, dance icon, actress, choreographer, and winner of the 2007 prestgous Capezio Award and wife of the infamous Geoffrey Holder will be a special guest at the Blance Dance Theatre 2008 Post Show Reception, October 17, 2008 at the Long Island University Kumble Theatre for the Performing Arts.
