Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre (NBT) and Brooklyn's 651 ARTS partner together to present a dynamic conversation between Legendary dancer/choreographer Bill T. Jones and internationally renowned dancer, choreographer Gregory Vuyani Maqoma that falls inline with NBT's 45th Season of "Moving the Legacy Forward." The conversation will happen on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 7PM. The discussion, entitled "History, Memory and the Creative Process," will focus on the creative process of making a dance work based on biographical and historical narratives. National Black Theatre's CEO, Sade Lythcott will moderate the conversation, which will be held at the NBT located at 2031 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York 10035. Tickets to this event are with a suggested donation of $10.

With support provided by L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, the Signature Series concludes this summer on Saturday, August 10 at 8 p.m., when Angelenos can experience an evening of dance featuring a special appearance by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, who mark their return to Los Angeles with a mix of repertory and new works and a performance by Los Angeles' own Lula Washington Dance Theatre. This two-concert program benefiting the Ford Theatre Foundation pairs world-renowned performers with a local artistic treasure, celebrating Los Angeles as a destination for world-class artists, who find here both collaboration with, and inspiration from, celebrated local artists.

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts will offer free admission on Friday, May 18, 2012 as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors' (AAMD) Art Museum Day coinciding with International Museum Day, also on May 18. Additionally, the Frist Center will offer free admission to active duty military and veterans and their families on Saturday, May 19 in honor of Armed Forces Day.
