Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire have announced the Summer 2014 Theatre Season offering classic works coupled with contemporary plays.

The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (RFKCenter.org) launched its Seventh Annual Ripple of Hope Holiday Auction with support from some of the world's most recognizable celebrities spanning entertainment, sports, music, and politics. The online auction is open to bidders internationally through December 17 at RFKAUCTION.COM. Proceeds will support the RFK Center's work to empower fearless human rights defenders and inspire a new generation of defenders through its human rights curriculum.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Bernard Slade's Same Time, Next Year at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, Opening Night tonight, July 25 at 8pm. Previews began July 23 at 8pm and the show will close on August 10 at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, friends and family gathered this morning for the funeral of late actor James Gandolfini. The morning service was held at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Sopranos creator and Gandolfini's close friend David Chase spoke at the service, and Alan Sepinwall of Hitflix has transcribed the touching eulogy, which you can read below.

TNT's blockbuster drama Rizzoli & Isles returned in a big way Tuesday night as the show's fourth season premiere garnered 6.6 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, including 2.3 million adults 25-54 and 1.8 million adults 18-49. Thinly guised as the confessions of four 40-something women on reality TV, this four-character musical spotlights the culture-clash between spoiled, egocentric 'weekender' women and their working class 'townie' counterparts in a rural upstate community. The show has no reason but to delight, which it does with savvy performances, high-heeled lyrics and the poison of its cocktail-party chit-chat dialogue. To share it with a wider audience, Taconic Stage Company will present the piece in its NYC debut tonight, March 7 through March 28 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street.

Amaury Nolasco is set to be a guest star this summer during the fourth season of TNT's hit drama series Rizzoli & Isles, starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. Nolasco is best known for his role on hit television series Prison Break, as well as his performance in the box-office hit Transformers.

With the upcoming release of his first feature film, NOT FADE AWAY, SOPRANOS creator David Chase recently confirmed to Showbiz 411 that plans for a movie based upon his hit HBO show have been scrapped.

Tony and Emmy Award winner Hugh Jackman was honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 27th annual Salute last night, December 11, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Jackman wase on hand to accept his Salute, along with Alec Baldwin and Mike Nichols (both past MMI Salutees), Rachel Weisz, Anne Hathaway, Liev Schreiber, Universal's Ron Meyer, Fox's Jim Gianopulos and many of his fellow cast-mates from Les Miserables. Tony Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto, hosted a gala event for Exploring the Arts tonight which raised over $1.2M for arts education in NYC public high schools. 17-time Grammy winner Sting opened the evening with a performance followed by gala host Katie Couric, who conducted an on stage interview with students supported by Exploring the Arts programs. The evening was capped by a performance by 17-time Grammy winner Tony Bennett.
