Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire have announced the Summer 2014 Theatre Season offering classic works coupled with contemporary plays.

Berkshire Theatre Group presents Michael Frayn's Benefactors, a summer stages critic's pick by The New York Times at The Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge. Opening Night is July 12 at 8pm. Preview performances begin on July 9 at 7pm and the production closes July 26 at 8pm.

Actress Lorraine Bracco stopped by CBS's THE TALK to discus how she dropped 35 pounds and became a first-time grandmother. Bracco says, "It's the greatest thing ever!"

CBS Boston's WBZ-TV News anchor Lisa Hughes returns to the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated talk show, CBS's THE TALK, as a guest co-host on Tuesday, June 17 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT), joining hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the table. This will be Hughes' third appearance on THE TALK. Also appearing on the show will be actress Lorraine Bracco, “The Insider” host Thea Andrews and chef David Myers.

Shrunken Shakespeare Company (SSC), in association with Joe Paradise, announced today that Nigerian-born Royal Shakespeare Company associate artist Chukwudi Iwuji (The Public/RSC: Anthony and Cleopatra; London Old Vic/BAM: Richard III with Kevin Spacey) has joined the cast of Paul Sorvino's world premiere adaption of Lear as part of their 2014 Fundraiser Gala, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and TV veterans. This cut of William Shakespeare's "King Lear" will be presented as a staged reading, produced by SSC in collaboration with director and producer Joe Paradise. In addition to Sorvino and Paradise, actor/comedian Wayne Powers, Michael Sorvino, and Tyler Hollinger of The Public Theatre and The Mint, will also be taking part in "Lear." Complete casting is to be announced. The Gala will take place on Monday, April 21 at 7:30pm, at The Barrow Group located at 312 W. 36th Street, 3rd Floor.

The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (RFKCenter.org) launched its Seventh Annual Ripple of Hope Holiday Auction with support from some of the world's most recognizable celebrities spanning entertainment, sports, music, and politics. The online auction is open to bidders internationally through December 17 at RFKAUCTION.COM. The morning service was held at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
