Coyote Stageworks Wins Eight Desert Theatre League Awards For Acclaimed SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIS WEEKS

Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valley-based award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company, announced that it won a total of eight awards at the Desert Theatre League's annual presentation on October 8. Coyote StageWorks had been nominated for 13 awards for both The Lady With All the Answers, starring Gloria Loring, and Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, a popular two-character comedy/drama that featured Loretta Swit and David Engel. Of the 13 nominations, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks won eight awards, tying it Coyote's 2013 production of Tru for the most awards received for a Coyote StageWorks production. Coyote StageWorks has now received an impressive 73 Desert Theatre League Awards since it was founded.

Laguna Playhouse announced today that due to scheduling conflicts beyond production's control, the previously announced dates of Academy Award nominee Melanie Griffith starring as Mrs. Robinson in THE GRADUATE, will move to March, 2018 and TWELVE ANGRY MEN, which was scheduled to open in March, 2018 will now perform October 4 -22, 2017.

Hold your hats boys, Hot Lips Houlihan, aka Loretta Swit from the classic TV show MASH is back in town. Shea's 710 Main Theatre is presenting the two handed play SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS for the remainder of this Curtain Up Weekend. The good new is there are still some seats available, the bad news turns out to be good news--Ms Swit is no longer Hot Lips, but she is a veteran stage actress giving a compelling performance.
