East West Players (EWP) and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) are pleased to announce that for the Los Angeles premiere of the Broadway musical Allegiance, stage and screen star George Takei will be joined by Broadway cast members Elena Wang as Kei Kimura, Greg Watanabe as Mike Masaoka, Scott Watanabe as Tatsuo Kimura, and Janelle Dote as Hanako.
George Takei is set to return to Honolulu with cast members from his Broadway musical Allegiance to honor the veterans of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (the most decorated unit of the U.S. Army during WWII) and 100th Infantry Battalion on Saturday, November 4 at 9 a.m. local time.
In commemoration of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, straight from its Broadway and cinematic premieres, and inspired by the true-life experience of its star George Takei ('Star Trek,' 'Heroes'), the Broadway film of ALLEGIANCE returns to cinemas across the U.S., telling the story of one family's extraordinary journey in a troubling time for a nation plunged into war by the events of Pearl Harbor.
