Yonder Window Theatre Company and Parity Productions have announced that writer/performer Romy Nordlinger's Places is among the selected performances for this year's East to Edinburgh at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Places will play 6 performances in July before traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2017 Fringe Festival where it will have 25 performances over the month of August (4th - 27th).
MULTISTAGES, in association with Dr. Judy Kuriansky and Jane Velez-Mitchell, is pleased to present a first look at the award-winning musical, TEMPLE OF THE SOULS, co-written by poet Anita Velez-Mitchell, platinum-winning composers Dean Landon and Anika Paris, and MultiStages Artistic Director Lorca Peress. Peress also helmed the production, with musical direction by Bruce Baumer, choreography by Enrique Brown, and visual design by Obie-winner Jan Hartley. Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 New York Musical Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, Playwrights Horizons Rehearsal Studio, The Green Room 42 @ YOTEL, and The Castillo Theatre in New York City. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the initial lineup for 2017 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project musical selections, as well as invited production selections. Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City. This satirical play, currently produced by Life Force Arts, Inc. at the June Havoc Theatre, is timely as we watch the historic battle of the sexes between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
