MULTISTAGES THEATRE is pleased to announce the world premiere of Desi Moreno-Penson's Comida de Puta (F%&king Lousy Food), directed by producing artistic director Lorca Peress. Comida de Puta (F%&king Lousy Food) will play a limited engagement at The West End Theatre (Church of St Paul and St Andrew at 263 West 86th Street, New York, NY 10024). Performances begin Wednesday, April 8th and continue through Sunday, April 26th. Opening Night is Friday, April 10th at 8 p.m.

IRT Resident Artist Project in Collaboration with New York Madness presents R Culture, a new play by Cecilia Copeland, for a limited run, November 7 - 23, at IRT Theatre. Directed by Emily Lerer, the show has Set Design by G. Warren Stiles, Lighting Design by Darielle Shandler, Costume Design by Carolyn Toner & Sound Design by Anna Libbie Grossman. Ashley Newman* serves as Stage Manager. Consulting Producers are Sari Caine & Rachel Weekly.

Last night, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, recognized the talents of six outstanding women: Zoe Caldwell, Judith Dolan, Joanna Sherman, Sondra Gorney, Meiyin Wang and Katherine Kovner. The awards were presented at the League's 2014 Awards Celebration & Big Mingle Reception to be held at The Irene Diamond Stage (The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street) featuring emcee Tamara Tunie. The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition has announced the winners of the 2013 Collaboration Awards. The Collaboration Awards, which recognize women who successfully collaborate across disciplines to create new and influential work, will be presented at the Awards Gala tonight, October 24th at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Auditorium in New York City. Madeleine Smithberg, Emmy and Peabody Award winning co-creator and original executive producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will keynote the evening's Gala.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the addition of some new speakers to its previously announced panel, Projecting the Future: When and How to Use New Technology on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 7:30pm at The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. On World AIDS Day, December 1, 2012, Sing for Hope marked the twentieth anniversary of the classical music world's first organized response to the AIDS crisis with the celebratory concert 'AIDS Quilt Songbook @ TWENTY.' The evening featured impassioned performances by many of the country's leading classical vocalists, including Amy Burton, Adrienne Danrich, Heather Johnson, Suzanne Mentzer, Sidney Outlaw, Randall Scarlata, Michael Slattery, Monica Yunus, Camille Zamora, and two of the baritones of the 1992 premiere, Kurt Ollmann and William Sharp.
