Portland Ovations is sorry to announce that the cancelled appearance of Liza Minnelli in concert at Merrill Auditorium will not be rescheduled.

Liza Minnelli, the Tony®, Oscar®, Grammy® and Emmy® Award-winning legend cancelled her upcoming performance at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center scheduled for Friday, October 22 due to an illness.

We've been told by her publicist, that regretfully Liza Minnelli has been ordered by her doctor to cancel upcoming performances as she has contracted bronchial pneumonia.

This Thursday, October 14th at 7:00 pm KT Sullivan will host the first performance of the special concert / benefits of 'Bewitched, The Songs of Rodgers and Hart' at The Triad Theatre 158 West 72nd Street NYC by The Philhallmonic Society. The show will be performed again with a slightly different cast on Friday, October 22nd at 9:00 pm. Bewitched is directed and arranged by Phil Hall, and is staged by Broadway dancer and choreographer Mark Santoro. The Philhallmonic Society will present two special benefit concerts, 'Bewitched, The Songs of Rodgers and Hart,' at The Triad Theatre on October 14 at 7 p.m. and October 22 at 9 p.m. KT Sullivan will host the first performance on October 14.

Tony-award winning star Donna McKechnie will join host Ken Kleiber for his 'Kentertainment Report', today, Wednesday October 13 at 12:15pm on Sirius 109/ XM 98. Ms. McKechnie will be speaking about her career and upcoming events, including 'Sondheim Unplugged' and 'My Musical Comedy Life', (both at the Laurie Beecham Theatre with the latter also at the Palais Royale in Indiana), and 'From Broadway With Love', a evening benefitting 'Animal Protection of New Mexico' which also features Kaye Ballard and Liliane Montevecchi.

'Saturday Night Live' alumnus and 'Superstar' Molly Shannon will make her Broadway debut in the smash hit musical comedy PROMISES, PROMISES as Marge MacDougall for a limited 11 week run from Tuesday, October 12, 2010 through Sunday, December 26, 2010. This new production of PROMISES, PROMISES, directed and choreographed by Tony and Emmy Award winner Rob Ashford with Neil Simon's funny and touching book and Burt Bacharach and Hal David's hit-packed score, began previews at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) Saturday, March 27, 2010, and opened on Sunday, April 25, 2010.

For the first time, ABC Daytime and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center are teaming up to produce a benefit engagement of Kander & Ebb's award-winning musical revue, THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND. The performances will feature All My Children's Bobbie Eakes and Natalie Hall and General Hospital's Bradford Anderson and Brandon Barash. Each performance will be hosted by another star from one of the shows. The World Goes ‘Round will be performed on October 7, 9 and 10 at the Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre, and net proceeds will raise much needed funds for its Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced the selections for its 22nd Annual Festival of New Musicals taking place on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, 2010 in New York City.

Kerry Butler, Deidre Goodwin, James Patrick Stuart and Tom McGowan will star in the NYMF 2010's Production of Pandora's Box - A New Musical Play with Music and Lyrics by Glen Roven, Book by Maria S. Schlatter, and Directed by Gary Halvorson and Wayne Cilento. The show will run at Theater St. Clements (423 West 46th) with performances on October 8, 9, 11, 13, 14 and 16th.
