Liza Minnelli Backs Out of 8/4 Provincetown Concert on Doctor's Orders

Today, word comes of an additional appearance that has been cancelled, on August 4th in Provincetown, where the star was set to perform with Alan Cumming in a sold-out evening. Instead, Cumming will perform his solo show, accompanied by Emmy Award winning composer/pianist Lance Horne. According to the venue, 'Ms. Minnelli is prohibited from traveling until she regains her health.'

Uptown Players closes its 2014 season with the Regional Premiere of the 2003 Tony Award winning musical, The Boy From Oz. Born for Broadway has announced that its fifth annual celebrity cabaret, featuring Broadway and TV stars donating their time and talent, will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center, 129 W. 67th Street, on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 8 PM. Proceeds will benefit Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, a nonprofit that supports international advocacy, education, and spinal cord injury research.

On Monday, June 30, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn in his regular series called 'Frank & Friends.' This particular show, 'Girls Night Out!' found Frank onstage with Broadway leading ladies Jackie Burns (If/Then), Teal Wicks (Wicked), Adrienne Warren (Bring It On) and jazz vocalist Jane Monheit (Jane Monheit's Jazz Party at Birdland).
