Jaci Davis & The Derrik Lewis Trio to Play Arthur Newman Theater Palm Desert, 8/10

Jaci Davis will debut her new show "Liza and Ella and Babs, Oh My!" at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 2 PM. She will be joined by The Derrik Lewis Trio and presented by Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret Sundays In Summer Series. Ms. Davis will showcase iconic songs associated with music legends; Liza Minnelli, Ella Fitzgerald and Barbra Streisand.

Jaci Davis is well known locally as a popular vocalist, as well as music director and piano teacher at Desert Music Academy in Palm Springs and as the music director for the United Methodist Church of Yucaipa. Jaci holds both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music and from 2001 to 2011, she taught music to grades 5-12 in the Midwest before moving to the desert in 2012 to be near her parents Jack and Nina Davis. Jaci will be backed for the August 10th show by The Derrik Lewis Trio. Derrik of course needs no introduction having entertained audiences around the world for over 40 years. A protégé of such legends as Bobby Short, Margaret Whiting and The Page Cavanaugh Trio, Derrik's music and style has been heard in clubs, major hotels, and cruise liners Worldwide, not to mention his numerous TV, film, and stage credits as an actor and singer. The Derrik Lewis Trio are currently in their 5th year at the Tropicale Restaurant's Coral Seas Lounge in Palm Springs.
