The Old Vic announced today the final 100 participants selected to take part in The TS Eliot US/UK Exchange, a programme to nurture the best young British and American theatre practitioners.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) has announced the 11 playwrights selected as the 2010 Emerging Writers Group.

Eight productions have been announced for the eagerly anticipated 2009 Summer Play Festival (SPF). For its upcoming season, SPF will again be presented at The Public Theater. SPF 2009 will run from July 7 to August 2 and, as in years past, is expected to serve as a highlight of the summer theatre season by showcasing a line-up of new talent.

Expanding on its history of developing new plays and cultivating new voices for the American theater, The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) is now accepting applications for the third year of The Emerging Writers Group, an initiative that seeks to target playwrights at the earliest stages in their careers and nurture their artistic growth by providing necessary resources and support.

Hamingson) will present post-show discussions following every Tuesday evening performance of TALES OF AN URBAN INDIAN, the second play of the 2008-2009 Public LAB season. The Public LAB Speaker Series, held every Tuesday following Public LAB shows, will consist of engaging conversations with the artists and notable panelists.
