TV Guide Network announced today that it has greenlit its first original reality docu-soap, 'The Nail Files,' created and produced by Sally Ann Salsano and 495 Productions, the team behind the mega-hit series 'Jersey Shore.' 'The Nail Files' stars Katie Cazorla, a 32-year-old entrepreneur who owns and operates Hollywood's fastest growing celebrity-filled nail salon, 'The Painted Nail,' all while juggling a relationship with 52-year-old Walter Afanasieff, a Grammy(R) award-winning music legend who's written and produced hits for Mariah Carey, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. The six-episode series will premiere on TV Guide Network in mid-2011.
Tyler Perry's next film, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, which is set to star Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, and Macy Gray, has been given a November 5 release date, Variety reveals. Filming began in June. The release had initially been announced for January 2011.
