ABC Announces First-of-its-Kind Live Musical Event 'FOR THE RECORD'

ABC, dick clark productions and the creators of For The Record partner to develop FOR THE RECORD Live for television, a unique, genre-bending production turning the soundtracks of iconic director's films into thrilling immersive live entertainment events.

FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA showcases the works of acclaimed director John Hughes, by reliving his acclaimed coming of age 1980's teen flicks including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The hit FOR THE RECORD series breathes a new life into the movies by adapting the works of great directors into a theatrical concert setting. FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA will showcase the works of acclaimed director John Hughes, by reliving his acclaimed coming of age 1980's teen flicks including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Performances begin tonight, February 6, and run through April 4.

FOR THE RECORD: BAZ Extends Through Dec 30

After a three-month sold-out run, the hit "For The Record" series will extend their critically-acclaimed evening inspired by the films of Baz Luhrmann at West Hollywood's DBA (www.dbahollywood.com) every Thursday - Sunday through December 30, 2014.

FOR THE RECORD: TARANTINO Returns Through 11/23

After a sold-out six month run, "For The Record: Tarantino" returns to West Hollywood for five Thursday night performances. In the previous run, the show attracted thousands of attendees, including director Quentin Tarantino, actors and singers like Bruce Willis, Aaron Paul, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Demi Moore, Dylan McDermott, Adam Lambert as well as network, studio and industry executives. The show will run every Thursday at 8:00 p.m thru Thursday, November 23 with tickets ranging from $35 - $55, and can be purchased at DBAHollywood.com.

After increasing the number of weekly performances and moving to a larger venue in West Hollywood to accommodate significantly larger crowds, "For The Record: Tarantino" has become the hottest ticket in town, driving the series to add a 10-week extension. The show has attracted thousands of people already, including director Quentin Tarantino, actors and singers like Bruce Willis, Aaron Paul, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Demi Moore, Dylan McDermott, Adam Lambert as well as network, studio and industry executives. The popular show will also welcome new performers to the already stellar cast including Twilight's Jackson Rathbone, Broadway's Rhett George (Wicked, Memphis) and Nicci Claspell from the National Tour of American Idiot.

This summer's most spectacular Hollywood blockbuster, For The Record: Zemeckis, will run for an additional three weeks due to popular demand at Rockwell: Table & Stage. Over the past two years the "For The Record" series has brought the movies to life as never seen before in a stunning 360-degree live theatrical concert experience. For The Record: Zemeckis runs weekly Thursday - Sunday at 8:30PM and will now run through Saturday, August 10. Over the past two years the 'For The Record' series has brought the movies to life as never seen before in a stunning 360-degree live theatrical concert experience. For The Record: Zemeckis officially opened Friday, May 31, 2013. Weekly performances are Thursday -Sunday at 8:30PM and will run through Saturday, July 20.
