The Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble presents the West Coast premiere of ELMINA'S KITCHEN, written by award-winning playwright Kwame Kwei-Armah, directed by Gregg T. Daniel. This gut-wrenching drama is set in the notorious "Murder Mile" section of London's East End. ELMINA'S KITCHEN examines the bitter clash of values between three generations of black men and its effect on their family and community. The play runs tonight, August 11 through September 9. Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 4pm. The Lost Studio, 130 S. La Brea, Los Angeles, Calif.

After her critically-acclaimed performance at the Hollywood Fringe Festival last year, writer and actress Marissa Lichwick presents her solo piece titled YELLOW DRESS at the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival. Directed by Desdemona Chiang, YELLOW DRESS plays at the Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre (115 MacDougal Street) from Friday, August 10 to Sunday, August 26, 2012.

Philadelphia's Broadway dreams came true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partnered with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive, July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals taught master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. Danny Burstein, Yvonne Strahovski, Tony Shalhoub Set to Lead LCT's GOLDEN BOY- Opening Set for 12/6 at the Belasco Theatre

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Michael Aronov, Danny Burstein, Bill Camp, Sean Cullen, Dagmara Dominczyk, Ned Eisenberg, Brad Fleischer, Karl Glusman, Jonathan Hadary, Daniel Jenkins, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Dion Mucciacito, Seth Numrich, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Tony Shalhoub, Yvonne Strahovski and David Wohl will be featured in the 19 member cast of its 75th Anniversary production of the Clifford Odets classic GOLDEN BOY, to be directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning performances Thursday, November 8 and opening Thursday, December 6 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44 Street), the same theatre where the play premiered in 1937. Additional casting for GOLDEN BOY will be announced at a later date.

The Lincoln Center Theater 2008 revival of Rogers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, starring Lisa McCune, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Eddie Perfect and Kate Ceberano, heads to Australia. The show plays Sydney Opera House from tonight, August 8, followed by Melbourne's Princess Theatre from September 13, 2012, as the first-ever Lincoln Center Theater production to tour Australia.

York has appeared on Broadway as Fantine in Les Miserables; Norma in Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award) with Julie Andrews; Marguerite in The Scarlet Pimpernel; Miss Fancy in Sly Fox with Richard Dreyfuss; and Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrelswith Jonathan Pryce. She appeared off-Broadway opposite Julie Andrews in Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together and in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Dessa Rose. Most recently, Rachel was seen in The Best Is Yet to Come: The Music of Cy Coleman and created the role of Cruella de Vil in The 101 Dalmatians Musical directed by Jerry Zaks.

Founded in 1979 by its artistic director Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience is a modern classical theatre that produces Shakespeare alongside other major authors in a dialogue that spans centuries. Its 33rd season, the last before moving to its first home adjacent to BAM in the new Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District, features boldly diverse works from William Shakespeare, Franz Kafka in a theatrical adaptation by Colin Teevan, Samuel Beckett and Wallace Shawn. In a co-production with The Public Theater, Mr. Shawn's plays will be part of The Wallace Shaw-Andre Gregory Project.

Center Theatre Group has announced that Robert Egan is set to direct Jon Robin Baitz's immensely entertaining "Other Desert Cities" at the Mark Taper Forum. The play that received a 2012 Tony nomination for Best Play will be presented in its West Coast premiere at the Taper and will close out the Taper's 45th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.
