Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival 2017 Announces Opening Lineup

Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival , one of New York's premier summer performance series, kicks off its 51st season on July 25. Among the highlights in the first two weeks are a special opening concert led by Louis Langrée, Renée and Robert Belfer Music Director, featuring traditional and indigenous songs from Mozart's time; a choral presentation by Les Arts Florissants; and guest conductors Edward Gardner and Gianandrea Noseda; festival debuts by more than 10 artists, including Kit Armstrong, Janai Brugger, Jennifer Johnson Cano, S? Percussion, Beatrice Rana, Ksenija Sidorova, and the Young People's Chorus of New York City; and the New York premiere of David Lang's concerto for percussion, man made. This December, Theatre du Soleil and its founder, theater icon Ariane Mnouchkine, come to Park Avenue Armory in the North American Premiere of their new work A Room in India (Une chambre en Inde). The work follows the adventures of a touring French theater company stranded in India without a director while the world around them falls into disarray. YITZHAK RABIN: CHRONICLE OF AN ASSASSINATION and More Set for Ford Theatres' 2017 Summer Theatre Season

The Ford's 2017 season lineup celebrates diverse cultures through theatre and performing arts. Highlights include Yitzhak Rabin: Chronicle of an Assassination, presented with the Skirball Cultural Center, in association with The Lincoln Center Festival; and The Hubble Cantata - in association with the LA Opera - an hour-long, space-inspired cantata featuring music by composer Paola Prestini, libretto by Royce Vavrek and a cutting-edge virtual reality film, Fistful of Stars, by Eliza McNitt.

Bang on a Can to Celebrate Summer at Lincoln Center Festival, MASS MoCA and More

Bang on a Can celebrates summer 2017, and continues its 30th anniversary landmark season, by showcasing the breadth of its adventurous curatorial vision with concerts June-September at three visual art institutions -The Noguchi Museum and the Jewish Museum in New York City, and the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA - plus a performance by the Bang on a Can All-Stars at the Lincoln Center Festival.

Casting Announced for Bolshoi Ballet, New York City Ballet, and Paris Opera Ballet's JEWELS at Lincoln Center Festival

Lincoln Center Festival Director Nigel Redden today announced casting for the unprecedented, international presentation of George Balanchine's Jewels . The Bolshoi Ballet, New York City Ballet, and Paris Opera Ballet will share the stage where the masterpiece first premiered on April 13, 1967, for five historic performances celebrating one of the greatest creative artists of the 20th century and the global recognition the work has received.
