Roundabout Theatre Company's new production of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley's Folly, directed by Michael Wilson, features Danny Burstein as 'Matt Friedman' and Sarah Paulson as 'Sally Talley.' Performances began February 9th, 2013 and it opened last night, March 5, 2013 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). MCC Theater presented its annual Miscast gala last night, March 4, 2013 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street). Miscast 2013 honored Tony Award winner Judith Light (Other Desert Cities) for her illustrious screen and stage career (appearing on Broadway this year for her third straight season, this time in Richard Greenberg's upcoming The Assembled Parties), her work with MCC Theater (acclaimed performances in Colder Than Here and Wit), and her impassioned advocacy of several causes, including Arts in Education. According to TVLine, the legendary Kathy Bates is nearing a deal to join Ryan Murphy's terrifying anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, the ever-busy Zachary Quinto confirmed that he would 'probably' not be returning for the third season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story once his stint as 'Dr. Oliver Thredson/Bloody Face' is over.

Ryan Murphy has revealed that Lily Rabe has signed on again for the upcoming third season of the FX anthology series, AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

Today in 1915, The Merchant of Venice opened at the 44th Street Theatre. A tragic comedy by William Shakespeare, the play believed to have been written between 1596 and 1598. The title character is the merchant Antonio, not the Jewish moneylender Shylock, who is the play's most prominent and most famous character. This is made explicit by the title page of the first quarto: The mo?t excellent Hi?torie of the Merchant of Venice. The play was recenlty brought to Broadway in 2010 after a successful run at Shakespeare in the Park with Al Pacino and Lily Rabe.

Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring Scarlett Johansson as Maggie, Ciarán Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Debra Monk as Big Mama, directed by Rob Ashford, opened last night January 17, and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture all of the excitement and glamour of the evening. FX has ordered the next book of the award-winning miniseries AMERICAN HORROR STORY, picking up 13 hours of a new miniseries from Twentieth Century Fox Television, it was announced today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager of FX Networks. Production of the untitled AHS will begin next summer and premiere in the fall of 2013.

With Live+7 ratings data, the October 17, 2012 premiere telecast of American Horror Story: Asylum set a new record for the highest delivery of Women 18-49 (2.35 million) of any program in FX's 18-year history, and it tied for the number one-ranked FX telecast ever in delivery of Adults 18-34 (2.48 million; ties with Sons of Anarchy Season 5 premiere, 9/11/12).

It has just been announced that the daughter of screenplay writer David Rabe, American Horror Story star Lily Rabe, is set to play a lead in and produce We're Just Married. Rodrigo Garcia has signed on to direct, and as he told Deadline, 'I'm ecstatic to be in the Rabe business with David and Lily.'
