Julia Stiles and James Wirt Set to Lead PHOENIX at Cherry Lane Theatre; Opens 8/7

Julie Pacino, Poverty Row Entertainment, Rian Patrick Durham and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, by special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre, just announced that Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles ("Dexter") will return to the New York stage opposite James Wirt in a fresh take on Scott Organ's play PHOENIX. Directed by Jennifer DeLia, PHOENIX begins performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) Monday, July 28, and opens Thursday, August 7. PHOENIX will play a limited engagement through Saturday, August 23. The design team for PHOENIX will be announced shortly.

The Quin Hotel Presents SHAKESPEARE IN NEW YORK, 6/3-8/17

The newly opened Quin hotel, located just two blocks from Central Park at 57 th and Sixth Avenue, is offering a 'Shakespeare in New York' experience today through August 17 th. The experience includes a three-night stay in a premier suite, two reserved seats at a performance of Much Ado About Nothing or King Lear (part of The Public Theater's2014 Shakespeare in the Park season), and a complimentary Arden edition of the play, selected from the hotel's in-room 'Mini-Bard.' Much Ado About Nothing stars Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe and runs from June 3 rdto July 6th, while John Lithgow stars in King Lear fromJuly 22nd through August 17th, 2014.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for KING LEAR, the second show of The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Featuring the previously announced John Lithgow as Lear, this enduring tragedy will begin performances on Tuesday, July 22 and run through Sunday, August 17, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 5.
