The National Alliance for Musical Theatre just announced the preliminary directors and casting for its 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

For tonight's (August 26th) 7:30pm concert at Joe's Pub, Zoe Sarnak will be joined by Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Lilli Cooper (The Threepenny Opera) Laura Dreyfuss (Glee), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal) Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town), Taylor Noble, Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Kyle Scatliffe (Les Miserables), Kacie Sheik (Hair), Josh Tolle and Gabe Violett.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt will celebrate the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' at Birdland with a bevy of Broadway stars on Sunday, November 29 at 6pm.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film, whose 31st Powerhouse Season is underway in Poughkeepsie, have announced additional casting for their summer collaboration, running through August 2.

This month, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will partner with NYMF to showcase a series of late night salons featuring the work of over 20 musical theater writers. The writers of five NYMF shows will be participating in the Salon-A-Thon, including the 2015 Next Link Selections 210 Amlent Avenue, Manuel Vs. The Statue of Liberty and The Cobalteans.

THE 69TH ANNUAL TONY? AWARDS, aired live from Radio City Music Hall, last night Sunday, June 7 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held just yesterday in Shubert Alley, hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award - nominated plays and musicals!
