Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of Cabaret was the theme of the Third night of The 28th New York Cabaret Convention held at JALC Rose Theater. It was a grand eventing and the enthusiastic audience got to enjoy the artists quite well during the 3 1/2 hours of music.

Bill Castellino returns to the Odyssey Theatre this month to direct and choreograph IONESCOPADE, based on the work of playwright Eugene Ionesco (Rhinoceros, The Bald Soprano, Exit the King); a project that reunites him with his old pal, musical director Gerald Sternbach.

Ionescopade will begin performances January 23, 2012, with an official opening night set for February 2 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th St, just east of Lexington Avenue.

The full cast also includes Paul Binotto (Enter Laughing, The Musical), Samuel Cohen (Oh, Calcutta!), David Edwards (The Fantasticks), Leo Ash Evens (West Side Story, London), Susan J. York Theatre Company announced today that on Monday, December 19, 2011, they will be offering one free ticket to the first performance of Ionescopade, a "musical vaudeville" (7:00 p.m. on January 23) to the first 100 people who donate a toy to Toys for Tots at the theatre that day.

Martin Vidnovic, who currently stars as 'Bellomy' in The Fantasticks, the world's longest running musical, will star for one night only in the finale concert of the 18th Annual New York Cabaret Convention to be held at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall (Broadway at 60th Street) on Thursday, November 8 at 6PM.
