The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director), presents acclaimed jazz vocalist Stevie Holland in the Off-Broadway premiere of the tour-de-force musical Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs. Cole Porter. Love, Linda has book by Ms. Holland with Gary William Friedman, music & lyrics by Cole Porter, and arrangements & additional music by Mr. Friedman. Tony Award-winner Richard Maltby, Jr. is the Director.

It may not be like getting a gift on every one of the 12 Days of Christmas, but for cabaret and musical theater lovers, the 5th Annual Urban Stages Winter Rhythms series--presented over a dozen nights at the not-for-profit Off-Broadway theatre on 259 West 30th Street--could be the closest thing to opening a daily present by the tree. From December 3-15, dozens of singers and musicians will perform in an eclectic mix of a dozen shows plus late night and matinee 'extras,' with all the proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to the Urban Stages 'On Tour Outreach Program that brings more than 200 free multicultural theater and music programs to elementary and middle school age children and their families in libraries and schools throughout NYC five boroughs. Urban Stages , in association with producer/director/lyricist Peter Napolitano will kick off its Fifth Annual Winter Rhythms Benefit Series with Mary Martin: A Centennial Celebration on Tuesday, December 3 at 7pm.. Hosted by noted author Stephen Cole, this evening will pay tribute to the 100th Birthday of one of the greatest performers of the American Musical Theatre and the shows she starred in, including The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Peter Pan, etc. The show will be at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). The seven-member cast features Andrea Burns, Wally Dunn, Darius de Haas, Alexander Gemignani, Jessica Grové and Joe Ricci. Angela DeCicco replaces previously announced Andrea Bianchi.

The York Theatre Company launches its 'New2NY' Series with a concert presentation of the musical Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy, with Book and Lyrics byWill Holt and Tom Sawyer, Music by Will Holt, based on an original concept by Tom Sawyer. Directed by Igor Goldin, and with Music Direction by Matt Castle, the cast features Frank Anderson, Wilson Bridges, Patrick Cummings, Jessica Grove, Julia Johanos, Anne Kanengeiser, Erick Pinnick, Lauren Sterling, Debra Walton, and William Zeffiro. Stephen Lee Anderson has replaced the previously announced Walter Charles.

JOE'S PUB at the Public Theater will present the latest installment of the "ALBUM OF THE MONTH CLUB" concert series on Tuesday, November 26 at 9:30 PM. In an evening honoring the Frank Sinatra album "Come Fly With Me" - or The International Sinatra - the show will feature the talents of Molly Pope, Lady Rizo, Rob Roth, Blind Boy Paxton, Christina Bianco, Colleen McHugh, Liam Forde, Tatiana Eve-Marie, Adrian Chavalier & the Avalon Jazz Band and Ago Il Mago. Music will be provided by Sammy Miller & The Congregation under the direction of Jon Weber. The show is hosted by Molly Pope and curated by Wall Street Journal jazz writer Will Friedwald and Michael Katsobashvili.

The 24th New York Cabaret Convention ended its week with a special afternoon event at 54 Below! The event, produced by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, began with The New York Times's Stephen Holden interviewing jazz legend and original female be-bop pianist Barbara Carroll.
