Stamford Center for the Arts has announced Kathleen Madigan's "Gone Madigan" national theater tour is coming to the Palace Theatre in Stamford tonight, September 15th at 8 PM, sponsored by the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. This will be the opening show of SCA's 2012-2013 Season celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the Palace Theatre, sponsored by Seaboard Management Properties. Tickets are on sale now.
Lewis Black's RUNNING ON EMPTY Extended Through 10/20

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Lewis Black will bring his one-man show, RUNNING ON EMPTY to Broadway this fall. Originally set to play the Richard Rodgers Theater October 9-14, two performances have now been added to the performance schedule on October 19 and 20.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that full casting for their 2012-13 season opener, One Slight Hitch, has been completed. Joining the previously-announced Mark Linn-Baker will be Clea Alsip, Rosie Benton, Lauren Ashley Carter, Scott Drummond, Lizbeth Mackay and Christopher Tocco. Helmed by Joe Grifasi, this tale of matrimonial mayhem will begin performances Tuesday, October 2 and continue through Sunday, October 28. Opening night, with a dessert reception sponsored by Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi restaurants, will be Friday, October 5.

The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, today announced its 2012 line-up, that will feature some of the industry's biggest stars performing in the city's most prestigious venues, including The Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, The Beacon Theatre, Madison Square Garden, and Town Hall, among others, from Wednesday, November 7 - Sunday, November 11.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced a series of special events that will enhance the previously announced 2012 summer season. Additions to the Festival's 58th season include one-night-only stand-up comedy performances from Lewis Black tonight, July 9th and Susie Essman (who will also appear in the Nikos Stage production of Last of the Red Hot Lovers) on July 23rd. Also added to the schedule is a reading of Dustin Lance Black's political docudrama 8, presented in partnership with Broadway Impact as a benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights. The Festival's popular Late-Night Cabaret Series returns, featuring Festival stars in rarely seen performances.
