The poignant contemporary fantasy about a teenager dealing with her mother's diagnosis will be presented from Sept. 12 to 28, 2019 in advance of its intended Broadway bow. More than 600 students from 24 high schools will take the Eccles Theater Stage for the eighth annual Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards May 12. The Awards represent a musical theatre scholarship program that rewards excellence at the high school level. Ten show-stopping numbers from 10 juried musicals will showcase the Best Musical finalists from schools across the state.

The ninth annual JIMMY AWARDS were held on Monday, June 26th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. 

THE JIMMY AWARDS have announced that 74 high school students from across America will compete for the award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the ninth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 26th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan.

Two Utah high school performers are on their way to New York City after winning The Chevron Award for Best Actress and Best Actor in the seventh annual Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards held in the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City May 13. Jessica Lewis from DaVinci Academy won for her role as Miriam in 'Fly By Night' and Levi Hopkins from Ridgeline High School won for his portrayal of Gomez Addams in 'The Addams Family.' Broadway meets Utah on May 13, 2017 when more than 250 performers from 29 high school productions across the state compete in the seventh annual Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards at the new George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City.
