Gigi Bermingham will star as internationally renowned opera diva Maria Callas when International City Theatre (ICT) presents Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning Master Class. Todd Nielsen directs a four-week run beginning March 22 at ICT, located in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for March 20 and 21.

Eighty-Eight Entertainment presents the Chicago Premiere of Hershey Felder's riveting new production, AN AMERICAN STORY for ACTOR AND ORCHESTRA, which tells the story of Abraham Lincoln's last day, in a limited engagement at The Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted, previewing Thursday, March 7, 2013 and opening Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. The Chicago Premiere follows successful tryout productions in Los Angeles and San Diego.

Live From Lincoln Center's winter and spring broadcast season kicked off with a special concert from Lincoln Center's 2013 American Songbook series celebrating the legendary songwriting duo of John Kander and Fred Ebb. The broadcast, 'Ring Them Bells! A Kander & Ebb Celebration,' was hosted by Audra McDonald and aired on PBS stations last night, February 15, 2013. Joel Grey sang, 'If You Could See Her', a song he originated in the Broadway and film versions of CABARET. Click below to watch his performance!

The tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of West Side Story is coming to the McCallum Theatre for five performances, Thursday, March 7, through Sunday, March 10. This production is part of the Rabobank Broadway Blockbuster series. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction is recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is reproduced by Tony Award-nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz and The Life).

BB Promotion in collaboration with Sundance Productions Inc., NY and Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group have announced the return of the international sell out hit "WEST SIDE STORY", with a national tour opening at the Liverpool Empire on Tuesday 24 September 2013, following the previously announced season at Sadler's Wells, which runs from Wednesday 7 August - Sunday 22 September 2013.

Today in 1980, the first Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY opened at the Minskoff Theatre, where it ran for 333 performances. West Side Story is an American musical with a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and conception and choreography by Jerome Robbins. It was inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. Set in New York City in the mid-1950s, the musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. Bernstein's score for the musical has become extremely popular; it includes 'Something's Coming', 'Maria', 'America', 'Somewhere', 'Tonight', 'Jet Song', 'I Feel Pretty', 'A Boy Like That', 'One Hand, One Heart', 'Gee, Officer Krupke' and 'Cool'.

The highly-respected students of Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE) have the rare first-time experience of performing with the magnificent 4,322 pipes of the William J. Gillespie Concert Organ in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for their "Spring Concert." Composed for wind ensemble, soprano soloist and organ, Frank Ticheli's "Angels in the Architecture" becomes the centerpiece of the program and features 11-year-old vocalist Max Uehara and organist Kristen Lawrence. Inspired by the Sydney Opera House where it premiered, the piece explores the forces of the divine and evil on humanity. Led by Music Director Joshua Roach, PSYWE's second concert of the season takes place Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 each, general admission.
