TVLine.com reports that the NBC network has pulled its new freshman comedy BEST FRIENDS FOREVER from its lineup after airing only four episodes.

On Wednesday's episode of the new NBC comedy BEST FRIENDS FOREVER entitled 'The Butt Dial', Jessica (Jessica St. Clair) deals with the repercussions of butt-dialing her estranged husband Peter (guest star, Reid Scott) a few days before what would be their three-year anniversary.

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, from executive producer Scot Armstrong ('Old School,' 'Hangover 2'), is a new comedy about old friends, new beginnings and awkward situations.

NBC announced the premieres of the new comedies 'Bent' (March 21) and 'Best Friends Forever' (April 4), as well as the comedic hidden-camera series 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' (April 4) to its spring lineup. 'Community' also will return to the Thursday schedule starting March 15.

CAMP WOODS PLUS, a new monthly comedy showcase hosted by local sketch comedy group Camp Woods, will hold its second edition Tuesday, January 31 at L'Etage in Queen Village. The show - Philadelphia's only alternative sketch comedy showcase - debuted in November to a sold-out crowd, and is quickly taking its place as a must-see event within the city's burgeoning comedy scene.

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER is a new series coming to NBC in 2012. It tells the story of two best friends, Jessica and Lennon, who live on opposite sides of the country with the different men in their lives. But when Jessica is served divorce papers, she reluctantly moves back to New York and back into Lennon's apartment.

NBC has ordered four more comedy pilots to series, likely completing its freshman class for the 2011-12 season.
