TVLine.com reports that the NBC network has pulled its new freshman comedy BEST FRIENDS FOREVER from its lineup after airing only four episodes.

Series star and executive producer Lennon Parhmam posted on his Twitter account on Friday, “BFF Fans: Wanted to let you know that our show is being taken off the air until the summer. Hoping to post ep 5 & 6 online asap…. Jessica St. Clair and I CANNOT thank you enough for the love and support of our little show. You guys are truly the best.”

Jessica St. Clair (“Bridesmaids”) and Lennon Parham (“Accidentally on Purpose”) star in the show as Jessica and Lennon, best friends who live on opposite sides of the country with the men in their lives. When Jessica is overnighted divorce papers, Lennon convinces her to return home to Brooklyn and back into the apartment they used to share. It doesn’t take long for the girls to fall into old habits: movie marathons and late night girl talk sessions - none of which is good news for Lennon’s live-in boyfriend, Joe (Luka Jones, Upright Citizens Brigade).

The series debut episode drew 3.9 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating but recent episodes have seen a ratings slide to just 2.65 million viewers and a 0.8.

According to NBC, the time slot will be filled by episodes of Betty White's new hidden camera reality show 'OFF THEIR ROCKERS'.
