Lee Daniels Entertainment has teamed up with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman's Playtone to develop miniseries about the life of Sammy Davis Jr., according to Deadline.

The Cooper Company and Catalina Jazz Club are pleased to announce the return of Ben Vereen, one of North America's greatest entertainers performing his popular stage show, Steppin' Out with BEN VEREEN. The strictly limited engagement plays two performances only on Friday, July 19 at 8:30 pm and Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 pm at Catalina Jazz Club.

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced that JESSE WILLIAMS will make his Broadway debut as Darren Lemming in the Broadway production ofRichard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, TAKE ME OUT. The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of WHITE NOISE, written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks.
