The Laurie Beechman Theatre has announced its 2015 Alternative Holiday Show Lineup, running November 28 - December 21, 2015 and featuring Alec Mapa, Jackie Beat, the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race & more!

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater announce the release of the Original Cast Recording of the new musical BE MORE CHILL, with a U.S. Digital Release on Friday, October 30; and international digital release on Friday, November 13; with physical CDs in stores and online Friday, December 18.

Recently nominated for the Excellence in Theatre Education TONY Award, CORINNA SOWERS ADLER returned to the Metropolitan Room last night for three shows three shows and Broadwayworld was there.  Her new show entitled, HIGH STANDARDS, is a musical journey through some of the best music ever written, reimagined by Musical Director, Alex Rybeck on piano.

Recently nominated for the Excellence in Theatre Education TONY Award, CORINNA SOWERS ADLER returns to the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, for a three shows starting tonight, October 22 and continuing through December 19. 

PRE-SHOW is a new cabaret aiming to target theatregoers before they arrive at their actual theatres for the night. 

LIVING FOR TODAY will present a benefit concert entitled LFT:R&H, on Sunday, October 25 at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St) beginning at 7PM. Cabaret for a Cause will hold two shows on November 29th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Cabaret for a Cause was created in 2010 to bring together young professionals from Broadway, film and television to help others.

FROM THE HIP, the hit 1997 comedy with music, will be revived for a limited engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theatre beginning November 4.

On October 25th the popular Broadway Understudies twitter account (@understudies) has once again invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent-the ability to perform at a second's notice. They'll be thrown into the fire in the 6th edition of 'Half Hour: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

Tonight, October 9, noted orchestrator and conductor Fred Barton will bring the music of Broadway and the American Songbook to the Schimmel Center at Pace University, in American Showstoppers: An Evening of Johnny Mercer. In his seventh concert at Pace, Fred Barton now brings the power of Mercer's music and lyrics front and center, with a 14-piece orchestra and a cast of 16 Broadway singers and dancers, with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson. The cast is headlined by Damon Kirsch, Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams, two time Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Nick Spangler, Tony Nominee Lauren Worsham, and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba. The cast also features Jesse Luttrell, Sean McGibbon and Molly Pope.

'A Simple Song for A Simple Wish' is a one night only benefit featuring Broadway kids singing to raise funds for One Simple Wish www.onesimplewish.org. The show will be held on Monday November 16 at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 W. 42nd Street, NYC.
