Breaking News! The fourth annual BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Awards results are official and for 2015 some bold-faced Broadway names, long-time cabaret stars, and some exciting newcomers were the people's choices this year. More than 32,000 votes were cast for performers and shows in 14 categories. 

Award winning composer, David Davila (Manuel versus the Statue of Liberty) returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square with an all-star Broadway cast to present: DAVID DAVILA & THE MAGIC TIME MACHINE, a time travel song extravaganza that reflects on revisiting mistakes you shouldn't have repeated.

Tony Award-winning Composer Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County, Parade) and acclaimed singer Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Hairspray) will perform a special One Night Only concert entitled 'JASON ROBERT BROWN IN CONCERT WITH SHOSHANA BEAN' on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at 8:30pm (Doors at 7:00pm).

It is with great pleasure that The West Bank Cafe announces NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH LEWIS BLACK, presented in The Laurie Beechman Theatre tonight, December 31, from 6 to 10 p.m. 

LEWIS BLACK, Grammy Award-winning stand-up comedian, will once again toast to the year that was and ring in the new at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at West Bank Cafe on Thursday, January 31. Black will be joined by Broadway's Liz Callaway and comedian John Bowman.

Norm Lewis finished his Feinstein's/54Below 5 night run last night, on Christmas Eve. Norm's show, NORM LEWIS WISHES YOU A SWINGIN' CHRISTMAS, played to packed houses and the venue had an amazing week, with Michael Feinstein also making his debut at the newly namesaked club, doing the 7:00 P.M. shows and Norm conquering the 9:30 slot. By the way, Mr. Feinstein plays through the 30th, while Norm enjoys his Christmas Holiday and then can find him at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, on New Year's Eve with friends Patina Miller, Capathia Jenkins, Eric Bergen and Clint Holmes.

NYC Cabaret Singer, Corinna Sowers Adler made her debut in the majestic Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Sunday, December 20 and Broadwayworld was there.. She was hand picked to sing on the new series entitled, 'Music Over Manhattan'. Corinna was honored to be a nominee for the first ever Tony Award for Excellence in Theatre Education earlier this year. She made her solo New York City cabaret debut in 2010 at the Laurie Beechman Theater in Stories...A Cabaret. Since then, Corinna has been in high demand as a singer, performing solo shows at Stage 72 at the Triad, the legendary Duplex Cabaret, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, Metropolitan Room and 54 BELOW. Joining Corinna in the show were five of her students, Kevin W. Berger, Grace Carlin, Gerry Mastrolia, Talia Wynzel and Zoe Gelman. John Senakwami was the producer. 

Producers Daniel Nardicio and Andy Brattain will honor Edith Piaf, the iconic French songstress on her actual 100th Birthday with PIAF: A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION with stars from Broadway, London's West End, Jazz, Cabaret and Rock 'n' Roll.

Critically-acclaimed cabarettist MOLLY POPE will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public for the live recording of her very first album, An Audience with Molly Pope on Wednesday, January 20 at 9:30 PM and Wednesday, January 27 at 7:00 PM. Drawing from a catalogue of  recontextualized pop, theater and standards, the "viscerally thrilling alto" (Time Out New York) brings a mix of favorite repertoire and new material for the album.  With her signature neo-retro style, she takes the evening back to the heyday of New York City nightclubs. Music Director Tedd Firth will lead a six piece band. Audience members who participate in the sing-a-long will be credited as back up artists.  You are hereby invited to an audience with Molly Pope.

With just two weeks remaining in the voting for the 2015 BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Awards, three performers are leading in two different categories, while two Broadway stars--Alan Cumming and Betty Buckley-- are winning the vote in their respective "celebrity categories.' Voting for the awards ends on New Year's Eve, December 31.

Last night KT Sullivan & Jeff Harnar concluded their Sondheim Review titled Act Two, Another Hundred Years at The Laurie Beecham Theatre and BroadwayWorld was there.
