The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the only televised awards show honoring performers in film and television, announced nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, December 16.

Celebrated stage, film and television actor Peter Weller has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's recently Emmy(R)-nominated drama series DEXTER. Weller, who will guest star in eight episodes in the upcoming fifth season, will play a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation. Production on season five is currently underway and will premiere Sunday, September 26th at 9:00 PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

SHOWTIME has announced some key talent castings for some of its acclaimed returning and new original series. For DEXTER, noted actors Shawn Hatosy and Maria Doyle Kennedy are signing on as 5th season guest stars and Julie Benz, whose character Rita was found dead in the 4th season finale, will make a guest appearance in one episode of the acclaimed drama series, premiering this fall. Additionally, award-winning actor Brian Cox will also appear in one episode of THE BIG C, which debuts August 16th at 10:30p PT/ET.

Acclaimed actress Julia Stiles has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's Emmy(R) nominated drama series DEXTER. Stiles, who will appear in ten episodes in the upcoming fifth season, will play a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife. Production on season five begins this month and will premiere in the fall on SHOWTIME.

On Wednesday, April 7, stage and screen star Bryan Batt guest stars on 'Ugly Betty' in the episode 'The Past Presents The Future.' On the episode, as Hilda's wedding day approaches, Betty asks Daniel to be her plus-one, Ignacio invites Elena, and Amanda is set on fixing up Marc with her new client, soap opera star Spencer Cannon (played by Bryan Batt). Meanwhile, Justin weighs whether his own plus-one could be Austin, Betty considers unexpected offers in her personal and professional life, and Wilhelmina finds a way to fight the Meade empire by using Tyler as her pawn. Ugly Betty airs on ABC at 10:00pm EST.
