For the 40th Anniversary of TKTS in Times Square, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella Star Laura Osnes rang the bell to open the New York Stock Exchange with Theatre Development Fund (TDF) Chairman, Earl D. Weiner, Executive Director Victoria Bailey and Managing Director Michael Naumann. Check out photos from the special event below!

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Equity Celebrates 100 years, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS Opens at the Delacorte, WICKED celebrates 4000, and so much more!

Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and additional sponsorship by the New York Times, BARKS will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. This year, BARKS will open the show with a performance from the Jersey Boys followed by the Broadway debut of many adoptable animals presented by stars from this season's 'hottest' shows.

The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) is pleased to announce that 62 finalists selected from tens of thousands of students will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, scholarships and other honors at an event on Broadway to be hosted by the Tony Award-nominated stars of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince). The fifth annual performance showcase featuring dynamic ensemble and solo performances exclusively from the musical theater cannon will take place on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St).
