The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) just honored choreographer Christopher Gattelli, and theatre producer and manager Beth Williams and Allan Williams at its 2014 Gala last night, November 9th at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan. The 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents SEARCHING FOR ROMEO, a new musical with a retro-pop score, featuring Book, Music and Lyrics by Brian Sutton. Directed by Laura Josepher with a cast including Zal Owen ('Fiddler on the Roof'), Natalie Newman ('Grease'), and Justine Magnusson ('Whistle Down the Wind'), the world premiere will be presented as an official selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival at the PTC Performance Space (555 West 42nd Street, New York, NY) for a limited five performances on: Tonight, July 8 at 8:00pm; Thursday, July 10 at 5:00pm; Friday, July 11 at 9:00pm; Saturday, July 12 at 5:00pm; and Sunday, July 13 at 12:00pm. VOW is an inaugural and extremely ambitious musical theatre workshop being presented by the Marymount Manhattan College Musical Theatre Program (Pat Hoag Simon, Coordinator for Musical Theatre) and The Directory Of Contemporary Musical Theatre Writers (David Sisco, Founder & Curator) that opens wide the creative process of the Broadway musical theatre industry to twenty very fortunate musical theatre students currently enrolled in Marymount Manhattan College's progressive Musical Theatre Program.
