Rubicon Producing Artistic Director and Co-Founder Karyl Lynn Burns retired from the company on Sunday, November 13, following the acclaimed sold-out run of In the Heights.

Rubicon Theatre Company will begin its 25th year with a “Starry Soiree” celebration headlined by Emmy, Tony, Grammy and SAG Award Nominee NORM LEWIS. At the October 8th event, attendees will be treated to a concert of musical theatre hits sung by Lewis, Broadway’s first African-American “Phantom” and celebrated artists of stage and screen.

All Things Equal – The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a new play by multiple-Tony Award winning playwright Rupert Holmes, will launch its 16 city, 2022-2023 National Tour on Oct. 5th in St. Petersburg, FL.  

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the third production of its 2022-2023 Season with ALMOST, MAINE, written by JOHN CARIANI and directed by STEPHANIE A. COLTRIN.  ALMOST, MAINE begins previews on Wednesday, September 7; opens on Saturday, September 10 at 7 p.m.; and runs through Sunday, September 25.

No wonder, the fable of the boy who refused to grow up, created by J. M. Berrie, is more and more current. This classic became a reference in literature, in the cinema and also in the theater. The Broadway version of 'Peter Pan' will finally win a Brazilian staging, with Mateus Ribeiro in the title role and Daniel Boaventura as Captain Hook. The show directed by Jose Possi Neto and choreographed by Alonso Barros, premiered on March 8, at Teatro Alfa, in a production of Touche Entertainment and coproduction of Daniel Boaventura.
