Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre is delighted to announce its 2017 line-up of plays - five magnificent, warmly human stories for audiences to savor between March and November. Scheduled for BST's second Mainstage Subscription Season are:

The Hudson Theatre, over its long history, has put the spotlight on some of the best in the business including Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Helen Hayes, Ethel Barrymore, Judith Anderson and many more! Now, Annaleigh Ashford and Jake Gyllenhaal are taking the stage in the revival of Sunday in the Park with George. But the venue has gone through quite the journey over the last 114 years.

For three nights in March, a former medical marijuana dispensary in Seattle's University District will transform into a makeshift theatre cafe. Inspired by Joe Cino's legendary Greenwich Village performance space, Caffe Cino, the space will house performances of six short plays from the early days of Off Off Broadway. 

Urban Stages, Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director, has announced the cast of the American Premiere of the award-winning drama Angry Young Man by award-winning playwright Ben Woolf, directed by Stephen Hamilton.

The world premiere Signature Theatre production of Everybody, written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and directed by Lila Neugebauer, runs now through March 19, 2017 and officially opens tonight, February 21, on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

After two successful nights in 2016, Ben Rimalower will return to both New York and Los Angeles with his acclaimed long-running solo plays, PATTI ISSUES (about his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father) and BAD WITH MONEY (about how an addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life). New York performances will be at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) on Sunday, February 19 and Sunday, March 19. Los Angeles performances will be Casita Del Campo's Cavern Club Celebrity Theater (1920 Hyperion Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90027) on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4. Tickets are available separately and for the combined evening of both shows.

Honor! Madness! Blood! Obie Award-winner Jo Bonney directs the world premiere of an edgy, intense and darkly comic new play by John Pollono (Small Engine Repair, Lost Girls) in a co-production of the Latino Theater Company and The Temblors, a unique new collective of seven Los Angeles-based playwrights. Rules of Seconds opens March 23 at The Los Angeles Theater Center, with low-priced previews beginning March 16.

The world premiere Signature Theatre production of Wakey, Wakey, written and directed by Lucille Lortel and Obie Award-winner Will Eno, has been extended by one week.

59E59 Theaters welcomes The Simon Studio and Amanagion LLC with THE DRESSMAKER'S SECRET by Sarah Levine Simon and Mihai Grunfeld, directed by Roger Hendricks Simon. THE DRESSMAKER'S SECRET began performances on February 8 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 5. Press opening is tonight, February 14 at 7:30 PM.

After establishing himself as resident doorman, stage manager and sex slave at the Caffe Cino, the historic Cornelia Street birthplace of Off-Off Broadway and America's gay theatre movement, Robert Patrick summoned up the courage to join the ranks of the venue's resident staff of playwrights (Lanford Wilson, Tom Eyen and William Hoffman among them) to begin submitting his own creations to owner Joe Cino. Eventually, the Broadway production of KENNEDY'S CHILDREN would help Patrick gain recognition as one of the significant dramatic voices emerging from New York's downtown scene.

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced they will present the 2017 Horton Foote Playwriting Award to playwright Rajiv Joseph at the Dramatists Guild's annual awards presentations Monday, February 27, 2017, at the French Institute/Alliance Francaise.

The Skidmore College Department of Theater is pleased to announce our Spring 2017 Seminar production season. 

A series of short plays by Robert Patrick - author of the forward-thinking dramas CAMERA OBSCURA and ALL IN THE MIND, minimalist works from the 1960s and 1970s that questioned the future and presciently foreshadowed the cyber web we live in today - will be presented together as an evening-length work that immerses the viewer in technologies that were science fiction when the plays were originally written.
