Gary Naylor sees a magnificently realised revival of a show that has never been more relevant since the novel was published in 1975.

Following the critically acclaimed opening of the UK premiere of the hit Off Broadway musical Adding Machine: A Musical, composed by Joshua Schmidt, with libretto by Jason Loewith and Joshua Schmidt, and based on the classic play by Elmer Rice, two further matinee performances have been added to the sell-out run - on 12 and 19 November at 3pm. Josh Seymour directs Joseph Alessi (Mr Zero), Kate Milner-Evans (Mrs Zero), Joanna Kirkland (Daisy Dorothea Devore) and Edd Campbell Bird (Shrdlu), with James Dinsmore (Mr One and as cast), Helen Walsh (Mrs One and as cast), George Rae (Mr Two and as cast), and Sue Appleby (Mrs Two and as cast).

The Hope Theatre is thrilled to announce that LWL Entertainment Ltd will coproduce their third 2016 in-house production, Bryony Lavery's bodice-ripping musical full of gothic silliness and sapphic tomfoolery, HER ACHING HEART.

CHILDREN OF EDEN returns to London 25 years after its original West End production, playing at the Union Theatre from tonight 10 August, with a press night on Friday 12 August 2016.

The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Harry Hepple (Baker), Steffan Lloyd-Evans (Wolf/ Cinderella's Prince) and Laura Tebbutt (Baker's Wife) will join the company of Fiasco's enchanting reinvention of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece INTO THE WOODS. The World Premiere of This Little Life of Mine will run at Park Theatre for a limited season from 4 October - 29 October, with press night on 5 October. This brilliant, brand new production will run in Park90, and will be the first musical drama to examine the real lives of modern Londoners, with the pressure of high expectation and the worry of underachieving. 

Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) and Tony & Olivier Award-Nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) will star in The New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) upcoming production of ICON, a romantic new musical with book by Sebastian Michael and music & lyrics by Jonathan Kaldor.  Paul Stancato directs and choreographs a cast of 14, which also includes Colin Anderson*, Leslie Becker*, Patrick Connaghan*, Chase Crandell*, Chloe Holgate*, Charlotte Maltby*, Ben McHugh*, Kalia Medeiros*, Erika Peterson, Chris Ramirez*, Casey Shane*, and Sam Simahk*.  With a seven piece orchestra, ICON is being staged at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET® Project, 229 West 42nd Street (bet. 7th and 8th Aves.) in NYC for five performances from Wednesday, July 20 through Tuesday, July 26, 2016.  *Member, Actors' Equity Association.

For the first time in its history, the National Youth Theatre (NYT) will present a season of new writing at London's Finborough Theatre throughout August. The season is to include three world premiere productions: Olivier Award-nominated James Fritz will present The Fall, a new play looking at how young people come to terms with an ageing society, Olivier Award-winner Bola Agbaje's Bitches will explore the joys and challenges of being young, female and black in her new play about vlogging and the first ever stage production of Mohsin Hamid's Man Booker Shortlisted The Reluctant Fundamentalist will examine the ironies of prejudice and representation in a post 9/11 New York and Pakistan. The programme of work is part of the NYT's 60th anniversary celebrations this year and runs 9 - 27 August.
