Beat, who has no health insurance, needs to have both hips replaced, and faces a hospital bill of up to $50,000. Time for a benefit! Joan Rivers, Debbie Harry, Parker Posey, Fred Schneider, and a gaggle of downtown performers are joining Jackie onstage for HIP HIP HOORAY: A BONE-A-FIT FOR JACKIE BEAT on Sunday, March 3 at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32 Street.

Global sensation New Jersey mom, Patricia Krentcil, officially known as "Tan Mom" made headlines worldwide in May when she was accused of taking her then 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth. "Tan Mom" has laid off the tanning since then, recently sporting a less-tan appearance. The ladies of XL Cabaret's wild show, Hot Mess, aren't impressed though. They think she needs to be sizzled and fried a little more and are happy to help her out. "Tan Mom" will be making her official debut at XL's Hot Mess next Wednesday, August 29th at 9:30PM. Just last night, GLAAD, the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organization, hosted GLAAD Manhattan, presented by Bravo, Ketel One and Miller 64 at the Eventi Hotel. GLAAD's annual summer event featured hors d'oeuvres, hosted cocktails, and special performances to celebrate and highlight GLAAD's work to build support for equality. At last night's 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards, Cher and Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) presented the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to Chaz Bono, and Benicio Del Toro presented the Vanguard Award to Josh Hutcherson. Glee stars Max Adler and Grant Gustin presented the Rodemeyer family. Brandon Voss is back at it again with a new gay dance club in collaboration with legendary club promoters John Blair and Beto Sutter. The trio will debut their new mega club to the public on Friday, January 27th with Voss's and Tony Fornabio's famous Rockit Fridays Dance Party. On hand for the inaugural night will be DJs Carlos Melange and Lady Bunny with special performances by the lovely Amanda Lepore, and Jonte, famously known for choreographing Beyonce's "Single Ladies." Open seven nights a week, XL Nightclub will host a variety of new acts, entertainment and DJs every night including the ever-popular ROCKIT dance party every Friday.

In her first one-woman show in 10 years, Lady Bunny makes a fierce comeback to a packed crowd at La Escuelita Cabaret Theatre. While this self-professed "trash-talking filthy sewer mouth[ed]" drag queen keeps the audience deep into the gutters, only three blocks away, Mary Poppins is flying over the heads of children everywhere.
