Broadway stars Arielle Jacobs (In the Heights, Wicked), Matthew Shingledecker (Wicked, West Side Story), Lavon Fisher-Wilson (Newsies, NY Spring Spectacular), Natalie Charle Ellis (School of Rock), Autumn Hurlbert (Legally Blonde, NBC's The Sound of Music), Dana Costello (Finding Neverland), and Nkrumah Gatling (Hair) join Jonathan Lee, Justin Anthony Long and Joanna Burns in The Opposite of Cool: the songs of Lee, Long & Burns.

Join Jonathan Lee, Justin Anthony Long, Joanna Burns, a small village of Broadway stars and amazing guest performers for a night of fun musical comedy. With the help of their friends, the writer/performer trio will perform and present songs from their original new musical, Welcome to Shoofly (NYMF Next Link Finalist), their hit musical web-series, City of Dreams (New York Times, USA Today, Playbill.com, BroadwayWorld.com) and some brand-spankin' new original comedy tunes. 

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) just honored choreographer Christopher Gattelli, and theatre producer and manager Beth Williams and Allan Williams at its 2014 Gala last night, November 9th at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan. Disney's popular screen-to-stage adaptation of NEWSIES ended its run on Broadway this weekend after more than 2 years on the Great White Way and a new video featurette focusing on the final lottery is now available to view.

Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, NEWSIES was directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, who won a 2012 Tony Award for his work. The national tour company of PIPPIN challenged the Broadway cast of NEWSIES to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and the boys have taken them up on their dare. NEWSIES is now challenging Alan Cumming and the Broadway company of CABARET, the Broadway company of MATILDA, and James Iglehart and the cast of ALADDIN. Watch their submission below!

She's just a Broadway baby! LaVon Fisher-Wilson, (Broadway's Newsies, The Color Purple and Chicago) and husband Darrell C. Wilson Sr. are excited to announce the arrival of their first daughter, DaVonna Bessiella Wilson.

NEWSIES welcomes back original cast member Capathia Jenkins in the role of 'Medda Larkin'. Jenkins, who originated the role on Broadway, begins performances tonight, July 15 and will remain with the hit musical through its final performance on August 24.

Brigham Young University's a capella group Vocal Point pulled together 85 student performers and crew members to stage a showstopping, stripped down one-shot tribute to NEWSIES - and they undoubtedly succeeded.. Check it out below!
